The Written Word: Writing Services

It seems to the writer to be the job of someone else to hang out the writer's shingle.  But there it is, just the same, hung in white letters on black background to catch your notice. It creaks a little as you walk by. The light is on in the window. Someone is still working upstairs.

It would be the pleasure of Red Scarf Equestrian/Writing Division to assist you with whatever your creative or technical writing needs may be.

Doug Allen is the Head Writer of the Writing Division and is the writer for the Radio Show "By The Love Of Horses" on MZ Media.

He has written scripts for radio and video productions, blogs, commercials, press releases. Doug has also written business proposals, in addition to works of history. He is a PhD Candidate in History. A significant part of History, he believes, lies in the details.

Doug's creative work was praised at the "Writing with Style" workshop at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. He was also a winner in the "Equestrian Voices Contest" sponsored by The Plaid Horse magazine.

Doug is currently writing a novel set on the Canadian prairies. The novel explores the nature of indigenous and non-indigenous relations, the early Prairie pioneer experience and what it means to come home
